Book Bites at Sweet Eleanor’s December 2024
Do you keep wanting to join a book club, but can't spare the time? Check out NHNA's Book Bites! Meet with your neighbors bimonthly to discuss short stories at cozy downtown dessert shop Sweet Eleanor's. December 14 at 11 am.
December's pick isn't a short story collection this time, but a short novel: Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. If readers don't finish the whole book, they're still encouraged to come and discuss quirky Keiko's navigation of a life that's not unfamiliar to retail workers, neurodivergent folks and 30-somethings even a world away.
Hunting for a free copy of Convenience Store Woman? The library has you covered! Check out the ebook or audiobook via the library's latest app, Palace (https://thepalaceproject.org/), or request a physical copy via the PINES app.
